Round The World For Round Eleven.

The 2022 FIM Superbike World Championship moves from the mountains and deserts of San Juan in Argentina to the other side of the world this weekend, November 11-13, for round 11 of 12 at the Pertamina Mandalika International Street Circuit on the island of Lombok, Indonesia.

Jonathan Rea travels to Indonesia with a high degree of confidence having taken two victories when the WorldSBK series visited Mandalika for the first time last year.

Last season, torrential rains reduced, what was, the WorldSBK Championship finale to two races, with the cancellation of the full-distance Race One on Saturday. Rea won both races on Sunday when the action finally got underway, firstly a shortened 12-lap race in wet conditions and the full distance 20-lap race run in the dry.

As things stand this season, Rea is third in the overall championship battle with two rounds and six races remaining.

The race schedule for this weekend at the 4.310km Lombok circuit is slightly different from the usual European schedule:

Free Practice 1 – 10:00 (GMT +8)

Free Practice 2  - 13:00

Jonathan Rea, stated: “I am really excited to go to Mandalika and Indonesia, because last year was our first experience of the track. I really enjoyed, the whole event - everything - from the circuit layout to the atmosphere. The fans were incredible, especially in the difficult conditions. It is a circuit where we expect to be strong and last year I had a double win. I won in the wet and also in the dry, so I really want to have a nice weekend this year, keep working with our Ninja ZX-10RR and try to maximise our potential.”
